Hathihe Ramallah Magazine

Hathihe Ramallah (This is Ramallah) Magazine was founded in 1952 by a handful of young men – recent immigrants from Ramallah – who settled in the Detroit, Mich. area and attended Wayne State University.

Initially published in Arabic only, Hathihe Ramallah magazine was mailed to Ramallah families living across the U.S. to ensure the families stayed connected with each other and to preserve their Palestinian heritage. English pages were eventually added to the magazine several years following its initial publication to accommodate the growing population in the U.S.

For more than 70 years, Hathihe Ramallah magazine has served as the primary communications between the Ramallah families throughout the U.S. The magazine is published bimonthly in both English and Arabic and covers family news and other pertinent information.

Hathihe Ramallah magazine’s mission is to unite and strengthen the bonds of the original Ramallah families and their descendants through engaging articles, documentation of family news and history, and by highlighting the various programs, projects and efforts of the American Federation of Ramallah Palestine.
